all i did was open the face cover of the garage opener itself, NOT the hand held remote. there is a reset button inside which when pressed lights up w/ green color.
pressed the 2 outer buttons on the visor and hold it until the middle starts blinking, once it starts blinking, then i pressed the reset button located inside the garage opener. then that's it. test it by pressing the middle button on the visor, and once the garage opens, that's it. i followed the manual but no success.
I think that this will NOT work with the old (one light) Homelink in the C6. You must first program the button with the remote as if it were a standard non-rolling code device. Then you can synch it to the rolling code by pressing the button on the garage door opener and following with a press of the button on the visor. I THINK what you said works with the new 3-light universal remote. If I'm wrong, I apologize, but my car has the old Homelink and I have a Liftmaster just as in the original question.
