Default AC Question

I have a 2006 C6 Coupe and on a drive today down here in Atlanta, I seemed to be getting cool air from the system even though I didn't have the unit in Auto and din't have the AC button engaged. I know if you have the defroster mode on it will also run some AC but that was off too. It was close to 80 here today so it wasn't just outside air.

Does this sound like an electrical problem of some sort or am I just missing somethingf obvious here.

Thats good news to me Dan as I asked yesterday how the A/C worked in the first place in the C6.........not having the buttom pressed and A/C gives me hope to replace my Lexus with the Artic A/C unit to begin with.

I would try this on one of the last chilly mornings we have left down here in Atlanta.......iF it still blows cold bring it in and have it checked out..................last thing you need come the hot weather is a faulty A/C sitting on 285.

so, did you have the vents on with the little no ac icon lit, or was the vent system off? It doesn't have to be on auto for the ac to be on.....

Was there anything displayed in the A/C control window, other than the outside temperature? If not, the climate control was off.
