RCDL Module
Has anyone had a dead battery due to a faulty remote control door lock module? I tried to start my 06 coupe last saturday but the battery was dead, I jumped the battery with my truck and took the car to the dealership. I insisted that they replace the battery with a new one as I did not have confidence in the original. They did this but now the computer will not recognize the key fob. They have now determined that the module needs to be replaced , however they have not located one yet and are now searching nationwide for one. They say that these are possibly a part that is back ordered and it may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to repair the car.
Has anyone been through this or have any suggestions?

According to my dealer this module controls their ability to start the car by recognizing the key fob. It has nothing to do with opening any of my house doors or the garage door. The car is at the dealership unable to be started until this module is replaced. Then all of my personal settings will have to be reset.
