I recieved the check engine light. My friend hooked up his OBD-II and scanned the code PO455 Evaporative Emissions Control Fault - Major leak. I traced it down to the fuel cap. He re-set the light. Now I'm wondering if something is wrong now since the light does not even come on, Not even when the car first starts. Is it possible that I did something wrong. The OBD manaul said to turn on the ignition. I did start the car with the OBD connected because I did not know how to just turn on the ignition with a push button start. The OBD would not scan in the Accessory mode. Any help, thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

To put the car into ignition on engine off mode, press and hold Accessory for 10 seconds. The dash will come alive, you'll be able to read DIC parameters, and your OBDII scanner will be able to retrieve codes. To get back into RAP mode, just push the lower half of the start switch again (a simple tap will do). If you don't go back to RAP, the car will not time out and it'll drain your battery.
Oh, BTW, you didn't do anything wrong. It is Ok to scan the car with the engine running.
