That is what I heard when I was at the plant last August (a "lighter" blue and a new metallic red), but I'm not going to post it here because it would just be an unsubstantiated rumor.

When I started out looking to buy a C6 I wanted a 2 option car, Z51 w/HUD, GM forced me to buy the 3LT. I'm guessing if you want ONE of the neat new features like Bluetooth etc you will be "forced" to buy the 4LT package.

Tom
I am thinking they update the interior similar to the new STS which has had alot in common with the C6??

All I want to know are the prices. $47,000 is already pushing my limits for a new 2007, so if the 2008 is substantially more, that will seal the deal for me. Otherwise, I might be down with waiting a few more months for the latest and greatest...

Even when an entirely new generation comes out, they don't raise the price any more than normal year-to-year increases. The only thing that will change is the new options.

Some people are concerned that the dealers won't discount them as much do to the upgrades. I would bet that if that happens at all, it won't last more than a few months. If you can afford one now, I would be very confident that not much will change.

One of the more unlikely rumors for 2008 was upgraded brakes. From that picture, that looks to be false. Maybe new friction compound, but the rotors and pads look the same.

I would say it is probably resonably accurate. The rims are new and would be the hardest thing to photoshop. I use Photoshop all day long, and there are tell-tale signs if it was a quick color tweak.

The yellow in the foreground matches the yellow in the reflection, as does the red match the slight red reflection fo the vette next to it.

This would rule out someon "selecting" the vette only and sliding the hue/sat to achieve this lighter blue.

However, there is no other Blue reference in the photo to suggest that "blue" wasn't just selected and then the Hue/sat adjusted. The result would be anything else that was the same blue would now be this lighter blue.

The sky is washed out, and that is usually a good indicator.

I would be quite surprised if GM canceled the 1900 dollar chrome wheels and kept the 1300 dollar “polished” ones that everyone complains about.
It would make more sense if the polished were canceled and chrome was the only upgrade.

Don't know anything about that, but I know that we've now had multiple eyewitness accounts of Tom Wallace saying the LS3 in the Corvette will NOT have AFM (DOD). I'm just playing w/ the Wayner.

My feelings EXACTLY.

I love the new blue, but the wheels are kind of blah.

Aren't they switching to forged wheels in '08? If so, those will likely "shine up" better than the current cast wheels when polished. The C5 polished wheels (which were forged) were so shiny they damn near looked lke crome. That's what I'm hoping for.

... but the odd thing is that if GM makes only the Polished ones Forged and they are not split spoke .... they will be the odd-ball of the bunch ...

I think you'd be better off going with the base wheels, then doing a wheel exchange with WCC or someone for chrome. cheaper that way and I wish I had done that on my 2005.
