Getting ready for a major reduction in the heard and plan on buying a used c6 vert or a used 2003/2004 viper vert. Viper would be about 5-10k more. I had absolutely no interest in the c-5, loved the c-6, and drooled over the c6 z06. But it has to be a vert. As much as I am a corvette person, I did like the lines of the viper over the c-6. Not to mention the extra 100 ponies. Finally got some pics of a c-6 vert with the widebody conversion.

I actually think it looks better then the viper! Definantely not as much of a standout to the casual observer, but I really don't care. Looking for a vert to do the widebody conversion. anyone have a red one with the conversion already done? Pics?

Looking for 2005 mn6 red vert.

My suggestion is, if a C6 isnt what you want down deep in your heart then dont do it! get the Viper. I wanted the C6, did the rear Z06 qtr panels and a few minor mods., but I knew I wanted the C6 with the removeable top. Now some on here say I have Z06 envy, whatever. I do like the looks of the Z06, but thats where it ends. one perticular person on here that has said that those that do the widebody conv. have the envy, does some pretty raddical motor mods. himself, I guess that could be construed as Z06 envy also, but not by me! Its your money! do what you want! but please save the C6 for those that Truely Love it!

The best I can do for you is a photoshop of TByrne's awesome yellow convertible that he completed the widebody on (the very first one done as far as I know.) I simply painted it red for you.

To be honest, if not for the widebody conversion, I probably would go viper. But I REALLY like the looks of the widebody verts. And, although I am sure some will rip me hear, 400 hp is plenty. I have a 550hp c-3 (at the crank). about all it does is smoke the tires through about 60mph, and I am not really a 120+ type of person, so 400 will be plenty, and if not, can always add forced induction later.
