Corvette Power Top Problems AGAIN!!!

Default Corvette Power Top Problems AGAIN!!!

Okay guys...second time around...first time the top got stuck half way up...this time the problems not as bad...I HOPE!!! the display is saying something about a TRUNK PARTITION...what the heck is a trunk partition...i slammed the trunk lid and thats closed forsure...but the top doesn't seem to want to start folding up...any thing you guys think may be the problem..i don't want to take it to GM unless i have no other choice

The trunk partition is the black carpeted cover that hides the roof in the trunk. On the upper right and left are 2 round covers or tabs, behind those are switches that detect the partition is closed, check to see if they stay snapped on. You can lower the partition when the top is up for more storage, I never have though. It is a safety thing so the top dosen't get ruined trying to close on top of stuff down there.
No need to go to the dealer yet, may have just come loose. If it won't stay snapped on see dealer, or some have put tape over the switch.

i like traveling and shopping...so i DO unsnap the partition to use the storage space.

just snap it back in place and hopefully your problem is solved.

you should actually feel, and hear, it snap closed when you push on it.

If that doesn't work, the partition sensor may be bad at the snap point.

thanks a bunch...now I'll be able to get a good nights rest...otherwise I'd be having dealer nightmares again ....I got one of the guys to load up my computer in the trunk....and it woudln't fit in the trunk as easily unless that part there was folded down...so thats what he did...without telling me...boy hes going to get a talkin' to tomorrow morning...i had to drive home with my top up

Your welcome, glad that's all it was. Yeah i hate driving with the top up too
Now as far as letting guys loading stuff for you but my wife lets the bag boy put the groceries in he must be cute
