3 short beeps
I get this warning every once in a while when I'm getting out of the car (and pissing off the neighbors.)
It's like I left something on, but everything is set to "Auto".
Any suggestions?

it will happen if you open the door before you shut it off also....the car thinks the FOB is still inside....the only way to prevent it is to hit the OFF button a 2nd time

The fob stays in my pocket, and I doubt I open the door before it's off, but I'll make sure next time.

I also think that sometimes the fob gets out of signal coverage, due to it's location on you, i.e., it's in your right pocket and your body is in between the fob and the car, even though your 2 feet away from the car. somewhat of a line of sight thing.

Three short means the car still senses the FOB inside. If you shut it off and get out but don't close the door fully and get back in it will do this also. If all else fails and you want it to stop reminding you just turn off the fob reminder in the options on the DIC.

I've got an 05 and it does the FOB in car 3 beep warning from time to time. FOB is not in the car, engine is shut off b/4 opening the door, cell phone is in the opposite pocket. And also I've found that the doors don't lock when this happens. I'm also

The easy fix for that is when you get back in the car, hit the starter before you close the door and you won't get the three beeps.
I used to always get the beeps when I gassed up and finally found that starting the car before closing the door eliminates it.

I've had it happen when I take the top off. I never close the door so when I get back in, I get the 3 beeps because it thinks I'm geting out and left the FOB inside. I try to remember now to close the door before getting back in. Every once in a while I forget but no nig deal.
