Default Another What's It Worth?

Looking to buy my first vette and have been reading this forum and all it has to offer for a month or two now.

I'm looking at one car in particular and am curious to see what others think of the price.

2006 LMB - 4,000 miles - showroom condition
3lt
6 speed
No Z-51 or F55
Polished Wheels
Nav
Clear top
Cashmere interior
Cant recall if onstar is on the car or not.

$44,900 is the asking price. It doesn't appear to be the greatest deal in the world to me, but doesn't seem to be outrageous either. So far their trade in numbers are reasonable as well.

Thanks in advance.

Not quite. A new one would be around $47,300. Still $44,900 is way high for 4K miles.

Seems to be the concensus that it is way too high. Kerbeck told me it was running about $49k with these options ( although i included Z-51 ). I figure i can add on sway bars and a stoptech kit later, so what should i offer here?

$40k sounds good to me but i'm thinking $42k is probably a bit more reasonable?

Brand new, the GMID/Supplier price on that car was $46,800 w/o OnStar, what a good deal would have been. Now, it is about to be two model years old, but is low mileage, so I'd say somewhere around 42,000 is reasonable.

Thanks for the help. After a while i get sick of researching and prefer to be driving. Also the financial brains seem to plummet when looking at the car in person, taking in the new car smell, etc.

I will deal with them via phone for the rest of this and hopefully be taking home my first vette sometime soon. If not there's bound to be another deal soon enough.

You are almost at two years old for the car. And you think it's still a $42K car? OK, but I don't.

Think about it just for a moment: '07s are getting less expensive as the model year progresses. Wouldn't this apply to used cars as well?

Yea I dont know. I got my 06 with 10k miles for 42 BUT its z51 the 19-20 inch chromes, exhaust and more already on it. I think 40 would be a good deal, but again sometimes that 40 or 42 isnt worth the not driving a car for a couple months trying to find the good deal....

If you have the patience, difficult I know, and can wait until June or July, you will see prices at Kerbeck's that will make you wish you had waited. My bet is that you will be able to buy a new '07 for very near what you are thinking about spending for the 2 year old car. "May" have to settle for a 2 LT or maybe even 1 LT, really depends on what you want and how much dough you want to spend. Either way - Good Luck!

Life is way too short. If I would have waited until I found a better deal I would still be waiting. It is easy for those of us driving our C6 to tell you to wait, we are already having the fun. Follow your gut, this is not a business decision but rather a fun decision.

Life is short so I'd still act quick, however, I'd still look for a better deal & include the Z-51. Great option package for the money & definitely helps on resale. Good luck!

Yea if it was already a z51 and top of the line with mods or anything you liked then i would say just do it and enjoy. But this one is nothing special and you can find alot like it,so just go to the next dealership to find a better deal on the same exact car.....
