it's a male thing, you rarely see chicks do this

put two guys together, regarless what they are doing they'll likely compete at it, even if it's only talking, want proof?

look at the Z51/F55 debate or Z51 to emblem or not

we have to prove to ourselves that we are better than the other guy, that's how we get the girl (although you'd be hard pressed to find a women who gives a rats *** whether your Vette has Z51 or F55)

The other day had a chick in front of me in a SUV, every red light she would spin the tires. I gave her a lil WOT to about 45mph, she stayed way in back of me after that.

I live in a small (157 homes) gated community. After 8 years and 3 different vettes, the novelty should have worn off. It hasn't. The 3 stang converts in the neighborhood are the worst. One always makes a point of going past the driveway, backing up, looking for the umpteenth time and then buzzing off.

Thats cool.

I had someone in a C6 chasing to catch up with me ... I thought for sure he wanted to race and I thought "here we go" ... he just wanted to know what exhaust I had on the car (headers and bullets)

I also had a guy with a camera on the highway do same thing with the pics ...

Usually, when my neighbors see me in the driveway, washing the car, they hurry home and lock up all the young children and animals!

The main problem I have is MUSTANGS. Everyone else leaves me alone. I normally ignore. Had to recently hurt a cobra's feelings though.

There is a difference in the people driving vettes (save the wave) and everyone else. I think in short... class!

I agree!!!

Especially since my 06/A6 has a APS twin-turbo and 315 gears.

Living in Northern Virginia where every type car known to man resides (BMWs and MBs are like ghetto cockroaches...everywhere) I rarely am 'rice carred' and in fact this younger import crowd respects the Vette and is very curious about it...of course they want to see a burn out, drift etc. My problem WAS the Stang crowd... from the 5.0L to the newer ones... easily 50% of them (the ones with the V8s not the V6 versions...they know better ) would do a bad azz snear look and the 'wanna race' at the stop light thing... got to the point it became damn way too annoying... Well since I had the Lingerfelter 366 package done but specifically did not install any outside badges indicating as such I decided to do this>>>

Well...did the trick...now down to zero with the Stang crowd... even had this happen.... there is one Stang (black/lowered/trick exhaust etc) that cruises Reston and he always is doing the 'look at me stuff..' one day I saw him in my rear view mirror and he obviously saw me since he started hitin' it and pulling hard up on my rear then (as the car gods would have it... light changes to red) starts to pull up next to me with the 'varooom varoom' business. His buddy second seating looks over my direction but could see his eyes lock onto the LINGENFELTER and then turns to his buddy and says something...well MR STANG owner mildly backs away and end of story.... pedigree do matter

Don't get a lot of this. Maybe I'm not washing in the driveway enough?!
