Corvette biography:
I purchased a 2003 50th anniversary C5. Because the 2005s were the new C6 the dealership was doing great deals on 2004 C5s. I traded in the 2003 (eliminated all the elictrical monkey business) for a 2004 C5. The same dealership went out of business this year so they were doing great deals on C6s. I purchased a 2007 4 speed C6. I like it much more than the C5.
I wave everytime. Thank you all for the welcomes. I have been reading the forum for a few minths now and the members have answered many questions about my car. i hope I can return the favor
It's called luck When I purchased 2004 C5 and 2007 C6 it just happened that I needed an oil change so I was in the right place at the right time. My rule is the dealership must give me a trade in value at least equal to the balance of the outstanding loan i.e. pay off the old loan and I'll start from zero. If they do that I'll sign the papers.
Welomce to the forum and the C6 family. Many of us made the move from C5's to C6's. These are awesome cars and refine and upgrade the C5 in many ways. Enjoy the ride. Here's to many miles of smiles.
Something funny: The only reason I bought my first Corvette is that GM stopped making the Camaro. I'm glad GM did what they did b/c I would have remained Corvette ignorant. As long as I am able to drive it will be in a vette. I love em.
