Looking on tireracks specs on the firestones and according to there specs there actually a little wider than the supercars. Anybody running this tire did you notice a differance by looking at them are they really a little wider or no? Just curious im at 21000 now and i need to decide on some tires and quick there almost bald
Got my Firestones a couple of weeks ago and couldn't be happier.
I got a walloping 12k on my GY supercar tires and I really needed to replace them 2k ago,
No tracking like the GYs but hard to tell about the noise factor because they were replacing very worn tires.
Tire Rack delivered them in 5 days! Don't do much racing but when I get aggressive they seem to sick to the road.
BYE BYE Goodyear.

I just put about a 1000 miles on the firestones, so far so good. I think the supercar tires gripped a little better in the turns. Only got 10,500 miles out of the goodyears. At almost half the cost I can put up with a little less grip, hopefully they will last twice as long. I didn't notice any different width but I didn't look that close.

A great tire at a great price. I only got 18K on the goodyears and they were never great. I have about 800 miles on the Firestones and love them. They don't make near as much noise as the Goodyears and handle fine. I got them from TireRack for $958 delivered to my door in one day.
What the Hell did GY do to the EMTs in the last 8 years? I had 16K on my 98 with original EMTs on it when I traded in Sept 06 and they were in great shape; lots of tread, excellent traction and yes I did try not to ever spin them. I'll be really interested to see what I get on my 06's if it ever stops snowing.
I got about 10k out of my Goodyear run flats and went with the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 (which are not run flats). So far for the money these tires have been great.
What are you guys doing to only get the short milage you're getting with the GY's? I have over 20K and lots of tread left. Most of my milage is interstate. What I don't like is the road noise.
Same Size as GY. Cover the wheels just about the same with the difference where the tire meets the rim, The FS has a beveled edge, and I think it makes the look better. Overall it still "protects" the rim.... like the GY's
My expierence was 34k with the GY's mostly highway... I hope the FS are as good.
So far -(put on 2 weeks ago) I like them, but not as much as the GY's. I got very used to the hardness of the tires. The GY's did not feel like they were giving at all when going around corners at high speed, where the FS are softer and don't feel the same... they have held well, just feel different.
