I'm having a clear coat bra etc put on my C6 Verte. I have some questions for anybody with it.
1: should I see adhesion marks below the clear coat
2: Should there be stretch marks visable
3: should there be anjy scartches on the clear coat
What if any imperfections should I accept?
I am toying with the idea of taking it right off because of the above
What do any of you guys think?
Thanks for all of your help and ideas

I think you need to go get your money back.
A good installer will make the Clearbra tough to see, even up close.
When it comes to the Clearbra, it's the installer's expertise and ability that makes the difference.

mine . . .
NO, Yes, NO
BTW, I have ZERO rock chips because of that clearbra. Mine will stay on until it falls off, then I will have one reapplied.
It looks like crap the first day, chill out and let it dry for a week before you freak out and tear it off. It should be invisible after a couple days. The only thing you can see is the line on the hood and only looking back too front.
Ted
Can you see the clear bra?
The car in question is my Fathers I'm still over in the C5. The film is generation 3 "3M" The installer is certified. The rockers look fine but hood and bumper are bothering us. The film has scratches in the clear-coat, adhesion marks that we are being told are not going away and are unavoidable. Also it was overstretched and now he wants to trim it on the car!!!!
He is still here finishing and we are going to have it removed BEFORE it is trimed.............
I would say that all three of your problems are bad. The stretch marks maybe a little less than the other two. Take it back and have them do it again. If they don't make it right post their name on the Forum so we all know where not to go.

Man I don't know I just had small air bubles and little white looking spots, mine is V. sheild and it was invisible after 2 days. Sounds like you have a real mess!
I agreee with teds and Z06. Normally, a day or so in the hot, outdoor sun will do a lot of "drying out and curing". So, give it some time. However, if it doesn't look perfect thereafter, first, talk to the installer and tell him everything that you DO see. Then, ask him to correct it. If that doesn't work, then, yes, you do need a good installer. This time, ask for real references of persons who've had their car done for at least 3 + months. That's time enuff to see some parts come loose, or others not "cure" out (meaning, the fluid applied to make it slippery dries out).
Guys
This installer came recommended but it doesn"t look good. The mirrors wheel wells and rocker panels look good but the from has scratches adhesion spots between the clearcoat and car then he streched the clearcoat too much and wanted to trim it with an exacto knife which we were afraid to let him do. I told him to take it off. Hope I made the right decision but I know I wouldn't be happy. He says he has no problem with that
Mine was installed by a "3M certified" tech. Unfortunately he had not done many c6's, my is ok but not good. The key is to get someone that has done several Corvette's.
I'm @#$5 this guy was certified, has a website http://www.clearchoicedetailing.com/
and did many corvettes. I guess sometimes we just have to live and learn. He removed the bumper and hood - They came off fine. I think we will wait for some shows and talk to you guys about where to go.
Once again...installer issue... stretch marks are from 'overworking' the
3M material and is a sure sign of a novice or poor installer...scratches are from aggressive usage of the tool (plastic pad usually covered with soft paper or cloth) used to lay the film into position and smooth out. The issue of "adhesion marks" not sure what to make of that...many times small air bubbles and bit of murkiness from adhesive goes away after couple days curing and drying. Bottomline for me would be return to have the install done over or get $ back...was a bad job based on how you described it

While it's not 3M, I had mine put on about a month ago with no problems. Having watched the process, as most are saying, the experience and patience of the installer are crucial. Equally important however, is the vinyl itself, the computer program used to cut the pattern, the quality of the pattern cut, the quality of the machine cutting the pattern and the environment where the vinyl is installed. Over-stretching sounds like possibly a poor pattern cut. Mine was stretched very little during installation. Also, mine was installed in a "controlled environment" so the air and car surface temps were the most favorable and where the vinyl would not be installed over dust/dirt. My 2 cents on the bubbles is that there shouldn't be any. I had a very small one that they said would "go away" but it didn't and they fixed it no problem. And I'm confused about references to "adhesives" because I'm told what's sprayed on is a soapy substance, not an adhesive. You should be happy with the look right after it's installed. If not, something is wrong. Good luck.

I wasn't happy with it at all. It had scratches on it as well as several adhesion marks. I was also not happy with the thought he was going to trim it on the car even though these were precut pieces for this car.I left it on the rocer psanels and wheel wells but not the front.
Thanks for all the advice
