Default Help... Torgue Specs.

Can anyone direct me to a complete listing of the torque specs for my 2005 C6 Auto tranny? I'm installing a new Corsa sport exhaust and need to put it back together. ( The torque spec listing in the FAQ section seems to be dead) Thanks for the help!

I'm sorry, my question wasn't clear. At this monent I need torque specs for the exhaust install ie. exhaust flange, pipe clamps, rear sway bar supports, x-pipe hanger, etc. However I would like to find a complete listing for torque specs on the car. I think I saw that some where in FAQ, but it will not come up at this time.

Thanks Michrider! Thats exactly what I needed. Would you, are someone else, also have the spec for the sway bar support that I had to remove for the remove and install?

Guess you missed this. The Stabilizer Shaft is GM speak for Sway Bar.

Watch out for those flange bolts. The factory tightens them too tight sometimes and they bend. I found out when I installed my Corsa's. Also, the alignment of the 2 mufflers can be somewhat tricky to make equal.

The nuts on the catalyst pipe flange studs are deformed prevailing torque nuts, and can bung up the threads on the studs as they come off. The safe thing to do is stop by the Chevy dealer before you do your install and buy four new studs, just in case you need them. They are soft and will bend (much too) easily. Don't ask me why I know all this .

Same here, but the OEM studs with the jam nuts cost me like $45. They appear to be a once or twice use item. I bent one and snapped one in two removing them for the 3rd time.

Tom
Time to measure them up, identify the correct high-strength stainless steel replacements from www.McMaster.com, and post the part number and price for all to see. Next time it is on the lift . . . .
