I orderred the Invisicord and did not anticipate any ptoblems. But, I can not insert the wires into their appropriate slots. I have the standard mirror and it requires the orange & black wires respectively for install at the mirror. There is just NO room to push the Invisicord wires in. NO way No how. Tried pliers no good.
Has anyone shared my problem and have a solution?

Thanks-
Try inserting the Invisicord pins both above and below the orgininal wiring in the connector. I can't remember which worked, but one way worked better than the other for me.
Also, you can try slightly flattening the Invisicord pins. I had to push mine pretty hard to get them on, but they did fit without flattening them.
I think you have to insert them on the outsides...
so the top side of the top pin, the bottom of the bottom pin. I tried for a few minutes... the first one popped right in, the second wasn't going anywhere. Then I tried the second one on the other side of the embedded pin, and it worked fine.
The key is to make sure that the pin you're inserting is fitting between the embedded pin and the plastic. Otherwise, no matter how hard you push, it ain't going in!

I had the same problem, and your suggestion worked for me!!! Mine was a 2006 A6 with dimming mirror no onstar.

It took me about 15 seconds to install the invisicord. It splipped right in.
Anyone know where to get a mirror mount for an escort 8500 X50?
yeah, westcoastcorvette.com is where I got mine for the V1, but they have the 8500 mount as well(8500 mount is the same as the x50). go to the C6 "Interior" section and then to "miscellaneous" section. You can select the 8500 or V1 rearview mirror mount.
With the Invisicord, you do not need to turn off the detector. It's a switched wire. I mounted the V-1 just to the left of the mirror and the 8" cord was long enough.
I did all of the above and pins are not going into their spots.
Using pliers will only bend the pins when pressure is applied and tear the plastic surrounding the metal.
Any other ideas?
Try putting some pressure on the factory wires opposite the direction from which you are trying to insert the pins. The idea is to open up a larger gap between the factory molex connectors and the plastic harness housing. Since there are 4 sides to each of the factory wire holes, you may find that one side out of the 4 may have a little more play to insert the flattened connectors.

Thanks.
I will give this a try.
At this point,
I am very unhappy with the invisicord.
These pins need a better design.
