Default 2006/07 Differential Problems

My '06 C6 started jerking when making low speed tight turns when entering parking places etc. The dealer says it is a problem with the differential and Chevrolet knows about it. The present remedy is an additive to the lubricant in the differential, and according to the dealer should fix it for 5-6 months. Is anyone else aware of this probelm?

Yep, Just had mine done last month. Do a search on the forum and you should find all you want to know about it including the service bulletin.

Nothing new. This problem has been around for ages. As mentioned, search the forum. There are tons written about it.
Your dealer isn't giving you the straight scoop. The additive isn't the fix. Just READ other postings.

This has been discussed Ad nauseam. Dealers will first drain and refill with fresh fluid and the required Slip-Loc additive. If that doesn't solve the problem they replace the clutch packs. Some have reported a reoccurance even after new clutch packs have been installed.

Mine is at the dealer as I type this for the same rear end "chatter".
