After 2 years, I would definitely enjoy more power. Will explore either an '08 or a supercharger for my '05 some time this year.
Get the blower. 08 isn't that much more hp.
And I know the feeling. I am trying to get into the 12s here. Trying to decide between heads and cam or an ATI. I would love the maggie but with the hood and everything just a little more than I am prepaired to bite off.
I'm thinking supercharger. Best bang-for-the-buck.
For all those questioning why I need, make that want, more power, it's just this: I don't want to track it, race it, anything like that. I just want it to jump from a rolling start better. Not a lot of open roads in my part of CT, so I live for the 3-4 second power bursts. Love being pressed back into the seat. Now that I've gotten used to the current power, I just want some more.

Can any of ya blame me?
if thats all you want it for, I agree, supercharger route is the cheapest, most full proof plan of attack. or nitrous if you just want it some of the time
i did bolts ons slowly to drag this out. inevitably..procharger! but now guess what i am used to that. and the vipers are just not shrinking in the rearview as fast as i would like. just be warned once you start it will NEVER stop!!!
If you really want an extreme thrill, look into getting a fast motorcycle. I test rode a Triumph Rocket last fall... 2300cc... if you want neck snapping performance, and I MEAN NECK SNAPPING, this is the route you should go. Remember to make out your will and wear a diaper.
Yep if you want a real rush try out a motorcycle..of course the learning curve is alot higher and crashing a bike is much more likely to kill you. Some of those things can accelerate so hard that you literally cannot kill the throttle as it's pulling your hands back and you dare not let go....watch out for those curves though...the first one's a doozy. Honestly I don't see the point in more power but each to their own...I get more of charge taking a corner perfectly than stomping on the go pedal in a straight line. This is why cars like Miatas, Boxsters, Elises and S2000s which are comparatively slow are still very rewarding...they handle like not much else on the road. Money would be better spent on a 3 day high performance school....you'll have a blast and learn the limits of your car better.
