Man, I've read all the posts on color choices and I'm no better at deciding! I actually finally ordered Black and now I'm having second thoughts. My car is scheduled to be built the week of 14 May. Does anybody know if I can still make changes to the order and what the cutoff date would be?

no... at this point you are locked, unless you can get the dealer to" call in a favor", and I am not sure that this can be done now. if you have a TPW you should be at least at event 3000. call the dealer to find out. black looks nice but is hard to keep looking new. good luck

what color would you replace it with? If LMB or MR you'll have almost the same problem, any color Vette is going to require more work than other vehicles, for most people the color is the toughest choice, they all look good, if you can't change from black you might have to work more, but no Vette looks as sharp as a clean black one
Black is a tuff color to maintain....I bought a Black Esclade this spring and have already had to have it detailed to remove the swirl marks from the paint......but they look kick *** (for about 15 minutes) after you have washed them
I have had 3 black corvettes in a row now. Once you go black, you never go back!!
I love my black Corvette when it's clean, but I hate the fact that when you wash it or dust it off, you can see a noticeable layer of dust on it within 10 minutes of driving. I will never again own another black car, that is a promise.
TPW? All I know is he said it was scheduled to be built the week of 14 May. I'll give him a call today. Thanks for the help. (Now, if I only knew for sure which color.......)

I have a white avalanche and a black vette. The black vette is the most beautiful car I have ever owned. It is no more work than the white avalanche. Maybe less. I was zainoing the avalanche this weekend and came to two conclusions.
1.That is a big f**king vehicle.
2.The vette is sure a lot easier to clean.
I would not trade my black vette for any other color. Best looking car on the road imho.
PS, both of my cars are spotless... always. the black vette is less work than the white avalanche if you are going to keep them both spotless. If not spotless, who cares.
I agree that taking care of a car is fun to a certain extent, but is it fun when you dust off the car before your drive to work and by the time you arrive at work it's already looking nasty because of all the dust on it? I don't even live in a dusty area either! I'd just like to enjoy the fruits of my labor a little longer, and with black it's impossible to do that. Black is a great color if you only drive at night though.
When I decided to get a C6 wife and son wanted black, I wanted silver because it is easier to maintain. Now, however, I would never get anything but black on a C6. Especially the vert with black top. Car looks fantastic and turned out to be a lot less hassle to keep clean than I thought.

Black is great. Looks lean and mean on a C6.
Black Facts:
1. You have to take extra care.
2. Dust is a given.
3. You will have swirl marks. (actually all colors do, you just see it more on black.)
4. They look darn good clean and in person. (who cares what they look like in a picture, I don't have to look at a picture I get to drive it)
