I have an 06' vert. It has been in for service for three weeks, the air bag light has been off and on for more than a month, the dealer changed the seat sensors, then the mirror and many modules that GM told them too. I still don;t have my car back. ONLY 4000 MILES!!! they are telling me the car is not safe becasue the air bags won't deploy or may deplay at any time. Does anyone have any suggestions? HELP

Hold out for another week or 10 days and check the Lemon Law buy back rules in the state where you bought the car. In many cases if the car in in for a repair for more than 30 consecutive days for a single warranty repair, then it's GM buyback time.
You may be closer to having another new car than you think.

You might start the conversation with the dealership owner / manager regarding a buy-back. This situation is totally unacceptable.
Buy backs are not always straight forward. Make sure you know and understand the lemon law in your state and that you have all the information required by law at your disposal. If you go in that direction you may wish to retain an attorney or some expert to help you. If you are properly armed with the relevant information there is no reason you should not be able to successfully pursue a buy back.
Check lemon laws BEFORE leaning on the dealer. It may be that you can keep quiet and wait it out for a little longer and be in there.
If your state has a 30 consecutive days on the same repair to lemon it and you tell the dealer your intent on day 25 the dealer can say its fixed, give it back, and you just missed your window. I'm bringing this up because this is easy for the dealer to get away with on an intermittent problem and it may apply to you.

Bottom line is check the lemon laws before leaning on the dealer.
Know what you are dealing with before you act.

If you'd rather have your car fixed than to pursue a lengthy lemon law process, then pull the car out of the dealership and take it to a competent mechanic. Tell him to replace the chaffed wires under the driver's seat.
