Corvette Review
I got my corvette and and thought I would write a little review now that I have lived with it for a while. I traded my s2000 on the corvette and in december we sold my wifes Crossfire so I will compare the Corvette to these two cars.
The Corvette wins hands down for interior volume, the honda was a little short on Leg, hip, and head room. The Crossfire, may be a little narrower than the vette however it felt like the seat was wider. The Crossfire had the least amount of Headroom.
Power, no need to elaborate the Corvette has them both beat.
Handling, I think the Corvette and Crossfire handle very well, with the Corvette winning out over the Crossfire. I dont know if I would say the S2000 handles better, but It is more fun in the twisties kind of like a Go Kart.
High speed stability, S2000 got squirly at high speed, the the Corvette and Crossfire are both very stable at speed it just took the crossfire twice as long to get there.
Shifting, hands down winner the S2000, I have the Z51 package, but the S2000 was crisper and easier to heel and toe shift.
Insurance, the vette was most expensive of the 3 but cheapest in insure, go figure.
MPG, Crossfire and Corvette are neck and neck with the Crossfire edging a head by a hair. Considering the chevy is twice the engine I am impressed with GM.
Overall assesment I am very happy with the Vette, I will not miss replacing nearly nine quarts of oil every oil change, but will miss the attention the Crossfire got. The Honda handled like a dream and driving around a 8000 RPM allowed me to live out by boyhood dream of drving an F1 car. However, after about two months I found I stopped driving the car on longer highway trips because running the engine at 6000 RPMS for 2 hours straight started to drive me nuts, plus I was constatly fishing for gears. I have a coupe and with the top off I dont miss having a convertable at all. I think I will keep the vette for a long time.

Interesting summary. You did not mention torque in your discussion.
Hard for me to compare a Vette and an s2000 - they are such different platforms. Glad to hear you are happy with your decision.

Nice write-up. Your S2000 experience was similar to mine when I test drove one a few years ago. Because of the room issue with the S2000, I bought an Acura RSX type S which I really liked (especially at 8000 RPM), but the low RPM lack of torque was a drag and the fromt wheel drive didn't help. I got rid of the RSX when I bought the Z51 Vette. The Vette turned out to be all that I expected, and an still like a kid in a candt store whenever I fire it up.
