when your Goodyear Eagle F1 EMT's run out z51 tires. people talk about changing to Michelin PS2 and say they are very good tires. I hear people switching to Firestone runflats saying they are much cheaper and actually ride smoother best bang for the buck. what do yall people think about TOYO tires yokohama tires do they make tires for the c6? if they do how do they compare to the ps2 or our stock tires that come on the vette? just wondering what yall think I never hear anyone talk about the TOYO or yokohama? also is the ps2 the best tire for the c6 then the goodyear would be 2nd and 3rd the firestone?

I have heard LOTS of great reviews on the Pilots and now the Firestone run flats. I have owned Firestone wide ovals and they are 1/2 the price of GYs and have a better treadwear with A traction. An added bonus they look better. This may sound odd but I think a lot of people dont want a Japanese named tire on an American classic car. I am included in that group so ill stick with Firestones.
When I was looking Yoko didn't have any of the super-sticky Advans in the C6 sizes and I didn't find much info about Toyos, so I went with PS2s as a known quantity. I'd very seriously consider either of these, but wasn't quite ready to get experimental.
I don't know that there's a single best, but the PS2s had the highest owner satisfaction ranks on Tire Rack's site, and the GY SCs had the lowest. Of course the Firestones are fairly new, as are the Advans, so there isn't a lot of data on these yet.
I can say that the PS2s are very nice tires. Of course they should be, for the price!

good information. What price is one expected to pay for 4 new tires stock sizes 18.85 and 19.10 in the rears how much is a set going to cost you about 1500 bucks? just for the tires then you think 200-300 for an install to put the tires on for them to re allign and do alignment and to ballance the tires and do everything to make your car run brand new again? so you guessing 1700 bucks or so for the FUll job? just cerious about what the Michelin PS2 would cost mem if i wanna make a step up from the goodyear eagle supercar tires

I bought Michelin A/S ZP for my '99 C5 for about $1,250 delivered at the TireRack two years ago. Installation, including balancing at one of their recommended shops, was $25 per tire.
The Michelins were much, much better than the gen 2 GYs that came on the C5. They rolled over bumps instead of hitting them with a thud and a shake "head on", they were quieter, and had very much better rain and snow traction.
I have not yet replaced the gen 3 GYs on my '07 C6, but if I were to today, I would most seriously consider the Michelins first. I have had good tires from Michelin on GTOs and Vettes for decades.
Firestone, owned by Japan's Bridgestone Tire Company, are not for me.
