you can do a preliminary order now at a dealer. Basically they go through the same procedure to order one, but it gets saved in the system rather than submiting the order. Official order submital date is May 24th. 08' production starts on June 25th. Prices are rumored to be released in June sometime. If you plan to order an 08' I'd go to the dealer now and get on the list, before too many are in font of you. Thats if you want one asap.

so you actually order the car before the pricing is out for it? I was thinking of waiting for the price of the NPP and the Comp Gray split spoke rims before ordering it. Cos I take it we have to drop off a $2k deposit when we order the car, and I just dont want them ripping me off once the car pricing comes and they tell me I can't get a discount (GMS Pricing) for it. However, if the orders go in before the pricing gets released, I might just bite the bullet and order one now before knowing the pricing for it. Also, the deposit when you order a car, they tell u that it is refundable if you decide to not purchase it. I am wondering, how much of a hassle is it to get this money back if I really don't take the deal for the reason that they won't give me a discount (which they say they'll give now)? I can see them delaying it forever before finally giving me my deposit back before taking my money elsewhere. Just curious to see if any1 else has been in that situation before.

It was a 1000 dollar deposit at my dealership. I think if your serious about one then go ahead and do the preliminary order otherwise you may be waiting a while before you can get your hands on one.

so as far as the deposit goes, do u think that they won't give me some BS excuse saying that it'll take me a while to get it back? Cos they told me that if i ever chose to not take the car, they'll give me back my deposit. Then again, they're salespeople so i figured i'd ask some ppl from the forum.
