LS2 displacement
Why 6.53L? Well, if my math is correct that would be 396 Cubic Inches.
Man,oh, man, what a deal that would be if the 08 C6s were offered in either 396 or 427 engine displacements.
By Golly, I love those crossed flag 396 badges.
There's just something about how the numbers 396 roll off the tongue....maybe you have to have lived through the era.....
and when you add 'SS' as a prefix to the 396 it sounds even better.
In fact, I recall that in '70 or maybe it was '71 the displacement of the 396 was changed a bit so that the engine was actually 401 or 402-I forget. Anyway, GM continued to call it a 'three ninety six'.
SS Three Ninety Six.....ah.......

With the port-matched intake and exhaust manifolds, high-output fuel injection pump and injectors, dual 3" exhaust systems, cold air induction, and an occasional squirt of nitrous oxide and propane, and tire squealing performance, it has earned its SS rating.
Hence the El Camino sourced emblem on the tailgate.
You need to get a 1965 C2 with the 396 if you are a 396 lover.
