Chrome Wheels
The polished aluminum wheels on my C6 are cloudy under the clear coat. Gm has agreed to pay for the repair but I am unsure where to get them repaired. I was thinking of having the wheels chromed rather than going back to the polished aluminum. Has anybody had experience with Pacific Rim and the Perma Star chrome?

A good wheel shop or custom shop can strip the clear coat and re-polish them for you so they'll shine almost like chrome - - you can either use some elbow grease and polish them every few weeks - -or have them properly clear coated after polishing.
In my view, if you want chromes, buy some or trade those in via WCC or another forum vendor.

I had my XJ8 aluminum wheels stripped, polished and chromed at Mag Masters in Santa Ana CA about three years ago and they look great. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a shop.

Sorry - -no clue - - I'd guess that chromes are heavier by a couple of pounds per wheel - - if that's critical to your decision. I've got chomes on the car, and the polished wheels stacked in the corner. I sure can't tell any difference driving under any conditions.
