Service active handling alert comes on frequently. Yesterday while driving about 45 MPH on a straight road active handling kicked in, the car did kind of a compression brake and pulled to one side.
I realize I need to take it in for service, but I don't have time right now.
My question is. I want to take the car on a club outing, poker run etc.. on Memorial Day. Should I just disable the active handling. I will be on dry roads and driving conservatively.
"Should I drive around in a high performance car on a club event where there will be a lot of OTHER high performance cars who's owner's probably don't want to be smashed into, when my brakes are acting unpredicably?"
Is that what you are asking? Really? Get your car fixed ASAP.
Yep, it's probably a 10 minute fix. If you have the telescoping steering, they take some tension out of the wiring so it doesn't pull on the connector.
