Default iPod Interface

Hi all,

I've read several posts regarding various iPod interfaces. I just purchased an iPod Nano and I've ordered the USA Spec ipod interface (Corvette / Cadillac Shipping PA11 – VETTE $209.95)

For the record, my vette is the 2LT, no NAV, single CD. So, once I get it installed, I'll post up how it works. From other postings, it's unclear to me if you can control the iPod from the vette's radio controls. Hopefully I can.

if anyone has this same setup, 2LT w/o NAV, and have the USA Spec interface installed, it'd be great to hear how it's working for you and if you've had any issues with it.

Thanks,

07Lemans

I tried to install a PAC aux input in my 2006 2LT non-nav non-bose single CD radio. After lots of tech support from PAC and the dealer trying to reflash the radio we all gave up. Dealer concluded the Siemens head unit was not "Satellite Ready".

So I pulled the radio and amp and replaced it with an AVIC-D3.

Who would have thought that installing a feature that is standard on every Impala would be so difficult for a Corvette?

Hope you have better luck with your 2007!

Did you have to do any cutting into the factory radio harness?

I have/use the PA-11 Vette Ipod adapter. You just need an XM receiver in your vette for it to work. If you don't you have to buy a special aux adapter cord.

If you are asking about the AVIC-D3 install, I cut the harness at the amp to run the speaker wires directly to the new head unit. The harness for the head unit connects to an aftermarket chime/RAP unit which has bare wires to connect to the head unit harness for power, accessory power, power antenna, etc.
