Default Vendor refund

How long would you wait for a Forum vendor to send you a refund check?

Did you pay by check or credit card?

If credit card, it should only take a day or 2. If they actually have to issue a check I'd allow 2-3 weeks unless they said otherwise.

When you requested the refund, was there no discussion of when you should expect to get your refund?

I paid by check, only a small amount of the total was to be refunded, as lots of other things were included which were not returned.

That was a couple weeks ago.

Hmmm, I wonder which vendor? Not to bash anyone but I've been waiting a couple weeks for a refund from a forum vendor too. I think two weeks should be more than enough for even a check to clear. In my case it's a credit card refund. I even called them and gave my card number again since they claimed they didn't have it. Luckily it wasn't a lot of money.

Did either of you get your refunds yet?

Certainly, mail can be delayed during a holiday weekend and some firms only cut checks once a month, but I'd let the vendor know they better either cut the check or communicate a pretty good reason for the delay within 30 days.

Makes a good point-- make sure you've got an understanding on a vendor's policies before you start the business relationship!

Good luck---looking forward to an update.

Regards-

using a cc and it taking more than a couple days to issue a credit refund is absurd. IMHO that illustrates the vendors true character. Check refunds are another story. I would wait up to 30 days(one billing cycle) because some business's might cut checks once a month when doing payables.
