Stereo question
From what I've read the size of the HU should be 6.5" Is it possible to put a 7" in there or will it just not fit? What is a good DVD/Navi combo you guys might recommend.

I don't think the screen size has anything to do with it...
The Vette will take a double-DIN size head unit. All double-DIN HUs should be the same physical mounting size (that's what the DIN designation is).
The screen size is dependent on the physical design of the head unit itself. The 7" screens put fewer (or thinner) buttons on the outside edges of the screen, to allow a larger screen to fit into the same chassis size (double-DIN). 7" is probably as large as it can go without going to a larger than standard chassis - but then it wouldn't fit into any car.
I was looking at both the Kenwood 7017 (6.5") and 6019 (7") units. I ended up with the 7017 because of the button layout (less reliance on touchscreen) and more features. But either one would have fit.
