One day in my ER will change lots of minds about gynecology.
Imagine, if you will, the following:
A schizophrenic patient who placed the bones of the chicken wings she was eating in her vagina because, as she affirmed, they provided her some kind of magical power. Of course, I had to fished them out. I often also performed the heroic procedures of removing a wide variety of lost tampons and broken condoms. Needles to say, most of these people wait several days prior to seeking medical assistance. Let me just say that a mask covering your nostrils is a very good idea prior to tackling the problem. This is on top of the usual garden variety STDs. Yeah, glamorous work alright!

I knew Ob/Gyn wasn't for me the day, as a 3rd year medical student, I was performing pelvic exams and doing PAP smears in Ob/Gyn clinic and was assisted by two nurses, one on each massive thigh of the patient pulling for all they were worth so I could get within striking range of her frammerjammer and pretend to be able to palpate her uterus and ovaries.
I just looked like my cat yakking up a hairball!
