There is a local custom shop up the street from me and a few days ago there was a C5 > C2 conversion parked out front. One of the guys there told me that they had just installed a LS7 in the thing. I call it a thing because it looked real weird. It looked like it had been out in a very hot sun and just flattened out.

Saw one up close & personal at the 50th birthday bash in Nashville.
Chevrolet should've done something like it for the 50th Anniversary car, just because.

While it's not for everyone, it's pretty trick nonetheless.

I saw one in person about a month ago and didn't care for it. But to each his own.

I saw one here in Minneapolis too, a C5 to C1, this Saturday in Minneapolis driving around the lakes parkway, it made me go WTF was that?!?!

but why? for the amount of the conversion you could get a fairly decent C2, which makes me wonder why on eath someone would destroy a C5 to convert it to a C2. For the money spent, you could have the real thing of both.

no, he did not get a wave from me

It's kind of embarrasing what they did to such a World Class Car such as the Corvette. Do you see them doing these things to a Porsche or anything similar??

Very cool:

Also cool:

Excellent build quality on both cars. At least you don't see yourself coming and going due to over 240,000 C5s being built!

This one was at the last 4th of July parade we were in. It attracted more attention (and picture takers) than all the rest of the Vettes combined...
