There is a local custom shop up the street from me and a few days ago there was a C5 > C2 conversion parked out front. One of the guys there told me that they had just installed a LS7 in the thing. I call it a thing because it looked real weird. It looked like it had been out in a very hot sun and just flattened out.
it's a c5 and it looks great. Should have been the 50th anni car
Saw one up close & personal at the 50th birthday bash in Nashville.
Chevrolet should've done something like it for the 50th Anniversary car, just because.
While it's not for everyone, it's pretty trick nonetheless.
I saw one here in Minneapolis too, a C5 to C1, this Saturday in Minneapolis driving around the lakes parkway, it made me go WTF was that?!?!
but why? for the amount of the conversion you could get a fairly decent C2, which makes me wonder why on eath someone would destroy a C5 to convert it to a C2. For the money spent, you could have the real thing of both.
It's kind of embarrasing what they did to such a World Class Car such as the Corvette. Do you see them doing these things to a Porsche or anything similar??
