Default Variable Window Tint

Happy Fathers day all! I found this link and posted it on another Forum, but no one cared. I thought it was an interesting window tinting option for the near future. Check out the Demo, let me know what you think.

That would be great! no film to scratch, no bubbles,no lines in the the back glass from using more than one piece of film. whats not to like.

Would be really cool if you could block and reflect 100% of the light all the way around the car while parked to keep it cooler and from prying eyes.

Looks very cool - - literally and figuratively. Out here in the Southwest, the sun gets brutal and the summer AC bills can go through the roof! We have a solar tint on the west-facing windows, and of course, tint on the Vette, but a variable tint - - now that's one heck of a great idea . . .I'm gonna try and follow up on that.

Thanks !

This looks a lot like the variable tint replacement windows you could buy for your home a few years ago. Trouble was, the variable feature quit after 12-18 months.

It's a little older than that. It's been around for at least 25 years in windows. It was invented in 1904. It's the same principle as an LCD screen. It is VERY expensive and has reliability problems.
