I know the color dash is pretty expensive! If I order it through my dealer will they install it for free and if not what will it run? $$$ The Dash I think runs for around $350.00 Thanks
I assume that you are talking about the bodycolor matched lower panel and surround that is available from Genuine Corvette Accessories. I can't imagine any scenario that has the dealer doing the install for free. You can probably count on about two hours of labor at whatever labor rate your dealer charges.
I had the wrap around and lower section installed when I bought my Monterrey Red coupe. I love it. It brings the color inside. I say go for it, you will never regret it.
I'm having the kit installed Thursday morning at the dealer . . . he said about an hour and a half, and about $100. Should look nice ('07 Monterey Red / Cashmere 3LT convertible). Next is the cashmere leather console cover, shift boot and **** and that's about it. I think it will all upgrade the interior to where it should have been in the first place.
I had the black carbon fiber console and pods installed - total cost was $450 w/ labor. I think it looks great with the cashmere interior. I didn't want to put LMB inside the car - would look like a pimp-mobile!
Well, the kit is installed - took the dealer about an hour and a half and cost $138. Looks terrific . . . it took a little longer to install (and therefore cost a little more) because the kit I bought didn't have the cutout for the convertible power top switch, so the mechanic had to cut it out. Did a very neat job, I'm pleased.
