Picked up C6 @ museum last week(great). Question: lights on rearview mirror stay on, cannot swith them off. Delay time on interior lights is about 10 minutes. Anyway to correct this?
You may have accidentally bumped the switch for the interior lights. It's on the left side above where your left knee is when sitting in the car. You should also be able to adjust the 10 minute delay time through the DIC personal settings. Grab your owners manual & a cup of coffee and read through it. Hope this helps.
Yep' did that, button on left of steering wheel, next to switch for vert top, not in DIC center. On the switch, is it supposed to push in? All mine will do is turn left and right. Been reading manual, cannot find out why the two switches on rearview, driver/passenger, will not turn off, stays on when driving. I have a C5, and a small light stays on for interior at night, but not the lights that the switch(push button) control.

Just went out and checked mine. The switch does push in to turn them off & on. If that doesn't work you may have an electronic or switch issue. They shouldn't be on while your driving. The C6 also has a small ambient light that is on at night but it is on the passenger visor. I have a coupe and not a vert but I don't think anything is different. Hope this helps.

Thanks, thought this was probably the culprit. Son has C6 and was on the phone with him trying to figure this out. After picking up at museum, we toured around in the C6's for a few days and everything was ok, did not occur until the night we returned home, and noticed the mirror lights would not turn off. Could not Push button on dash in. Everything eventually went off. Thanks for checking your switch.
That set up is very poor. Even after you figure it out, it is a PIA.
I think everyone fights this the first day or two. The trick is to close the doors so you can see what the switch does. Push the switch in once and the wait for the lower interior lights to dim and go out.
Now turn the mirror light off (if one or both are on). Now.... blipping the switch left or right will dim or brighten the dash lights. VERY confusing. You have to wonder what the engineer that designed that was smoking.

No problem at all. I looked in the manual and found it on page 172 "Instrument Panel Brightness" also. The other issue you had about the 10 minute delay doesn't seem right. Page 238 "DIC Vehicle Personalization" shows (off,15sec,30sec default,& 90 sec) delays. 10 minutes seems way to long. You might want to have that checked. I'm always worried about my interior lights being left on and sometimes look in the garage before bed to make sure thier out. Just don't want to wake up with a dead battery. Anyway good luck with it. Hope this helps.
