Don't bother. I thought they'd be helpful and convenient but as it turns out they're almost useless. Maybe if the buttons were on the left side of the steering wheel I might get more use out of them. I have a manual and my hand is 4 inches from the radio anyway. So why move it all the way back to the steering wheel to change radio stations?
Someone at GM just didn't think enough when they decided on the wheel buttons.
