Default Fathers day present

My wife bought a black c6 for me the friday before fathers day.
I love both of them.
How easy do you have to take it for the first 500 mile break in period? The manual states under 55mph and no full throttle starts. Any limit on rpms? Thanks

You can hustle it a bit if you want. The rear diff needs some gentle wear before you turn triple digit speeds.

The consensus here seems to be that heat cycling and varied driving seems to matter most. Avoid long stretches of highway driving or mix it up with some red lights. Stop and let the car cool down to ambient air temp then let it get back up to running temp, lather rinse repeat.

Think about doing an oil change as soon as the break in is over

Congratulations!
I had a tough time staying under the recommended speed during the break in period, but I did vary speed.
