And don't buy into the bogus posts that claim it keeps paint on hood from cracking/crazing due to engine bay heat

Doesn't is actually serve some purpose?
Am I sacrificing some function by removing the hood liner?

I thought somewhere years ago that cars had hood liners that could help squelch out fires ? or am I imagining this?

I put mine back on this evening.

Maybe it was unrelated, but my coolant temps were much higher today than yesterday.

Thanks. Although not as spooky as your skull, the devil's eyes in the C6 logo freaks the judges out enough so they feel they better give me something!
