Have Standard Base Radio Package on my 07 C6. Not happy. The Radio in my C5 was great. Any suggestions what to change to Don't need the GPS I have a NUVI. ?

You didn't indicate whether you had the blows or base unit.

I've heard the base is a lot better actually which is what mine has.

I think the base unit is ok but really needs better speakers. I blew mine out already. They sound like they're spitting at me.

I have an '05 1sb non nav 6 cd unit. It sounds great stock!! I dont know how the base units sound, but the nav units suck! Take it from someone who knows......I've had 2 nav units, and the non nav I have now? I dont see how anyone could want a better system......just my .02

I lived with my Bose for about a year and a half. Boy did I hate that system. I just got finished putting in a whole new system. Now it sounds great.

I installed the following:
Clarion MAX675vd w/ nav. sirruis. and direct ipod controls
10" shallow dual voice coil Pioneer sub in a Dave Hale (forum vendor) sub box.
Phoenix gold 6 1/2 components in the front doors
Phoenix Gold 5 1/4 co ax speekers behind the seats
Phoenix Gold 5 channel amp 4 x 125 watt & 1 x 400 watt

It confirms your displeasure about the sound systems and provides lots of options from simply replacing the speakers to swapping out everything with a after market system. It all depends on how much $$$.

I disagree, if we're talking about the same thing? Every time I read a forum member complaining about their Bose, I think that the '06s and '07s must have a downgraded version.

My '05 1sb C6 vert with the nav 1cd player Bose system sounds absolutely great. I'm a professional musician who's day job is running a music studio, and in my opinion it couldn't sound better. The base is so strong though, I EQ it to the negative a couple points. Of course, all this is dependent on the actual quality of source.
