Default DIC programming

I recently discovered that my 05 1SA C-6 will not let me set DIC Vehicle Personal options for my number 2 key. The number 2 key is recognized and will allow the doors to open and the motor to start, but when I press the option button, per the instruction on page 3-68 of the owner's manual, I get the message, "options unavilable."
I realize that I do not have the various driver options avialable to the 1SB equipped cars, but I would like the door locking and unlocking options to be the same for both keys.
Can someone please tell me if I should be able to set the personal optons for my number 2 key, or if my car has a unique problem that the dealer should be able to fix.
Love the car. My standard response to people who ask about it is that it makes a driver smile.

I think you have to push the number 2 option on the drivers door first..
Then go to the options set up..

The 1SA does not have any options you can set with the DIC. What door locking & unlocking options do you have with fob 1 that you don't have with fob 2?

AFAIK, all you have is the manual locking & unlocking with the button, besides opening/unlocking the door with the hand in the door handle.

Dealer needs to reprogram #2 fob so car can recognize it. I had the same problem when I bought my car. Dealer lost one of my original fobs and when they programmed new fob car saw new fob as #3. You can have up to 4 fobs progammed for car but only the first two can change DIC settings.

With my number 1 key I have set the doors to lock when the car is turned off, for both doors to unlock when I unlock the driver's door etc. I was also able to program the car to greet me by name on the DIC. When I use the number 2 key, the doors do not lock automatically. This came as a shock when I learned that people could open the car without having the fob present.

My number 2 key is recognized by the car. It lock and unlock the doors and starts the motor. It just does not allow the other features I could program for key #1.

There are no driver one and driver 2 buttons in 1SA cars. Luckily my wife does not drive it so I do not have to readjust mirrors and seats. It would be a real pain if she did drive it since she changes things alot in the cars we share.

Your number two fob is not programmed in the #2 spot. It is probably #3 or #4. The first 2 spaces let you make those changes and the last no changes are available. It will take the dealer to erase the #2 slot fob out and program the #2 you have back to the car. You can erase all fobs yourself and then reprogram all of the correctly if you have 30 minutes to let the sequences run and have the key for the trunck.. Its in the owners manual.

I have 4 fobs programmed to my car, the first two can make personalized changes and the last two just run the car.

Thanks. I will contact my dealer now that I know that it is possible to program the number 2 fob.
