Default leaky headers

I have purchased Melrose long tube headers and have had them installed. They look AND FIT GREAT. I am having a leak issue were the headers meet the X pipe. The clamps just don't seem to hold well enough and I am getting a lot of popping sounds. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was your fix to the issue.Always seem to get good help on this forumn.

is the x pipe slide up on to headers far enough buy new clamps have pipes resized to allow them to slide on farther and use exhaust sealer.
