Newest DIC message
Could someone out there inform me what is involved when you get "Service Tire Monitor" message on the DIC? All tires appear to be inflated correctly except the right front is showing "XX" for the pressure. This is just the latest in a bunch of messages that I 've been getting to include, "Check gas cap" and service fuel system(Already had the fuel sensors replaced). Luckily I"m still under warranty-- eddie
Just what the message says - you've got a bad tire monitor. If you're sure the tire pressure is okay, just take it to the dealer and let him take care of it.
2005 owner's manual, page 3-61.
SERVICE TIRE MONITOR: If this message comes on,
a part on the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) is not
working properly. If you drive your vehicle while any of
the four sensors are missing or inoperable, the
warning will come on in about 60 minutes. A sensor
would be missing, for example, if you put different
wheels on your vehicle without transferring the sensors.
If the warning comes on and stays on, there may be
a problem with the TPM. See your GM dealer.
