Resonators installed
I installed some Vibrant resonators (#1973, polished stainless) on the weekend to lessen the drone on my 07 C6 M6 which has catted American Racing Headers, plus B&B Rte 66 mufflers.
I cringed at taking a sawsall to the stainless piping in the center tunnel, but the drone was too loud for me and in too broad a range (1400-1900 rpm).
In short, it was a success.
The overall sound level dropped at bit and it still retains the rumble at idle and awesome WOT. Importantly for me was the drone is basically gone in all but a very narrow 1500-1600 rpm range. So, now 5th & 6th gears are again usable.
