I have posted several accounts of my attempt to solve the DBS problem that afflicts my 05 Mn6 Coupe. After a week and a half, 2 BCM's and 2 sets of new door switches and FOBs I finally have my car back.
The problem with the new BCM and door switches and FOB's was that they wouldn't talk to each other. GM couldn't supply the answer and so they replaced the replacements.
The solution which came from the west coast tech rep was to set up the BCM as a Cadillac CTS-V, recognize the FOBs, and then reprogram with the correct Vin number. Weird!
I have the car back and will be installing the recorder as soon as it becomes available so we can monitor the system over a period of time.
We have all agreed that this is the last attempt. One more DBS incident and we start the discussion about GM buying back the car.
Worse case scenario I will be receiving a minimum 3 year warrantee extension.
Fingers crossed for you. Sorry that you have these issues on an otherwise fantastic car. It just seems that a few of them have these nagging problems. I know another forum member who had an '05 with far too many DBS and fuel sender issues. He did complete a buyback with GM for his car. Yet here's my '05 mn6 just a few hundred away from his VIN (both Precision red) and not a single problem.
I hope this turns out to fix the issues for you and you can finally get down to enjoying your car.

I have had 5 DBS attacks (05 6spd) and had the "flash" a few weeks ago. All been well since. I will be replacing the battery for 08 driving season, as the cheap dealer keeps testing mine and says its ok. As I drive only in good/warm weather it will suffice I think.
Sir;
My first year of ownership of my '05, MN6 coupe was a real disaster reBS! 6-8 episodes of battery dead-almost decided the Lemon Law route. Did the re-flash, & a new battery on 9/06 & all is well!
You should do the Same!!
Best of Luck-Jerry
