Im running the Hotchkis sways and Koni FSD's -so far I love it, lost almost all the squat during hard acceleration and keeps the car flat around sweepers, -its a big change from base suspension, definately a tighter handling car.

Wayne O, you seem happy with the Z06 sways. What other suspension mods did you do to your car?
I will have Hotchkis as soon as they come in.

I have exactly the same set up with the Z06 sways and am very haoppy.

I have the Z51 bars on my F55 car, and I can say that the handling is perfect. The car is totally flat in corners up, and there is absolutely no bounce thanks to the bars and the F55 setup. I'd highly recommend it.

The parts guy at Ken Fitchner's Chev. in Montana set me up with them - about $170 including shipping. I had my mechanic put them on since he has a wheel lift, and he only charged me $60 to put them on. Well worth it.

Good info so far. So is anybody running the pfadt sway bars that can provide feedback? Since I don't track my car, I am just wondering if these would be overkill or if they are worth the extra expense. Would replacement of the shocks be pretty much necessary to truly benefit from these sways? For those running the Hotchkis, have you had any issues with creaking, popping or any other noises due to the sways?

Hey Juan,

I sent you a PM.

I am running Pfadts and Koni's on my C5 and it is by far the best set up I have found.

Peace
Chip

No, the functions of the sway bars are independent of the springs and shock package. Each should be evaluated separately.

Agree and disagree...

They are not a function of one another, however the combination of the two will give you an overall handling effect, and the interaction of each will be effected

Got the PM Chip. I am gonna sleep on it, but have pretty much decided to pick up the Pfadt sways. Wife said she'd like for me to leave the exhaust stock for now, so I am gonna go ahead and work on the handling. I'll pick up the sways now and decide on the shocks a little later. I have a feeling I am going to have to cut down on my golf fund.

I stopped playing golf for a year after I first bought my C5 due to spending too much on mods. I told myself I wouldn't do that again, since I am still trying to get back the strokes I lost during my time off. Placed my order for the Pfadt street sways this morning. Thanks Chip?

I'd say that is a pretty good start on what is sure to be another masterpiece.

I sent you an email...

Thanks again

I use mine for autocross here in San Diego. I installed a ADDCO front bar 1 3/8" it works great, really helped the rear end bite coming out of the corners. My stock set up was the Z51 which is 1 1/4". If you want great low cost up grade I would recommend this.
