Default Wierd electrical issue

I stopped my 05 Z51 next to our mailboxes today after driving for about an hour, put it in park and left it idling while I grabbed the mail. I had the radio playing and the Nav map on. When I opened the door to get back in the car, I heard the radio stop playing, the Nav screen changed to the crossed flags Corvette display (which I assume is only on when the system is turned off) and then the A/C turned itself on and started blowing air through the vents... I turned the A/C off, the radio back on and the Nav map came back up on the display. Has this happened to anyone else and what the heck could have caused this? None of the warning lights or check engine light came on and I didn't see anything change in the DIC.

That is what happens when you press one of the little buttons on the door to change from Driver 1 to Driver 2 or vice versa - I haven't tried but perhaps hitting a button on the fob could cause this too.
