Nothing earth-shattering here - just added a few things to the interior of my '07 C6 convertible. The GM body-color interior trim kit added a lot, I think. It really does depend on your exterior color, though - i've seen a few colors it didn't really look that good on at all, in my own opinion (I won't say what those are - one of those colors might be yours!). The Monterey Red kit looks outstanding, in the sun or the shade, and adds a nice splash of color to the interior while following the general lines of the rear waterfall to continue a body-color presence straight through the cockpit from front to rear. I also added the cashmere leather console cover (which you can't see very well) - the extra padding is a nice touch, and the pleats match the seat pattern. I also added the cashmere leather shift boot and ****. The only other thing is the sun visor label covers, which you can't see at all. Everything is coordinated, and I like the look a lot. I can't help but think that if GM had provided this as the 3LT interior originally, there wouldn't have been quite so many complaints. I don't plan on adding anything more to the interior (I actually like the black handbrake boot and lever, but that's just me). The only other mod to my car is Monterey Red fuel rail covers, I may go for the color-matched battery and fuse box cover some time, and so far I'm satisfied with the stock exhaust, but those may be the only other mods I'll make some time in the future. I've had a couple of requests from folks to post an interior photo so they can see how these items look installed, so here you go:
Very nice indeed. I think the color accents go well with the Monty Red. I agree with your sentiment about it working better in some colors. I'm reluctant to do it in VR with an all black interior . . . pops just a little too much for me.

And here's the outside, just for the heck of it:
Greetings
It looks great. I would take it a step further and paint the steering wheel caps.

Sometimes I think you're right, sometimes I'm glad I stuck with the black. I can always do it later, I guess, but for now I'm happy.

I hear you, Gary. I'm trying to figure out a low-tech way to do it without taking everything apart that doesn't look sketchy. I agree that those silver steering wheel spoke ends would look a lot better in Monterey Red. If someone else is already working on body-color steering wheel spoke overlays, please let me know so we don't duplicate efforts.
Porsche has offered color matched interior trim pieces for years and they almost always look better than without. They even do the hooks in the back of the seats which looks nice.
