SteveL2 I believe had posted a detailed install thread on the parrot. It seems to be gone now, did this happen with the new server or can someone point me to the thread? I remember it basically showed that he took off the passenger seat and then hit the wires at the amp and wired a relay to the mute wire on the amp.

Steve's writeup was very infomative. But there is now a C-6 specific harness you can use that will eliminate all the splicing Steve had to do.
Not that expensive and you can get it from www.quickconnectproducts.com.
It's all plug and play. I installed the Parrott and the new harness in about two hours. Works great.
Howard at QuickConnect is great to work with. He was even available on a Sunday for tech help.
umm, its 4 wires and a mute wire. thats easy as can be. You can pop them in for the post part with scotch lok connectors. The harness the last time I checked was 150 bucks, the same as the parrot. Why would someone spend 150 bucks instead of doing 5 wires.

It's not a question of splicing five wires, it's more of an issue of leaving the car electrically stock. If I choose to sell the car or remove the Parrott, it is a hell of a lot easier to unplug everything instead of resplicing wires. I just may do that when I install the AVIC D-3 w/ bluetooth next year.
have you ever used a scotch lock? you can pop them off and the wires are fine, no one is going to know the difference, and even if you had to replice the wires, its a 5 minute job.

from reading the parrot install thread, it says that the connectors on coupe and vert are different and the coupe connector was used on the install, can someone tell me if the wires are the same on the vert and if the wire colors have changed at all over the years?
