I'm in the process of painting my C6 hoodliner flag following Pipedreams DIY instructions. I did a search to see pics of forum members flags and noticed the flag on some are in black and white, some are black and silver. The emblems on our cars are black and silver. My car is silver so should I paint flag black and silver? What do you think? Thanks
I went black and white with the checkered flag and it really pops. No regrets here. I think you can't go wrong either way. The "official" flag on the emblem is silver and black, but I think it is understood that it represents a black and white checkered racing flag, which is certainly known to be white and not silver.
That said, I bet silver would look very nice on a silver car!

The first one I did was black and silver but look real bad so I changed it to white for 2 reasons
1. since the material is not smooth the larger rectangles of silver were reflective and uneven looking.
2. the white has a much better look and contrast with the black
