Default Steering Wheels give

Hello everyone, I am a new member and a new owner of an 07' Black on Black 6spd LT3 Z51. I noticed yesterday that the steering wheels column has a slight give up and down in it after it is locked into the desired position. Is this normal? I doesn't interfere with the performance, just my nit picky observation. Can another 07' owner check theirs and tell me if you have the same give. It's so ever slight, but noticeable if jiggled. I have the telescoping steering wheel if that makes any difference. Thanks in advanced!

Sounds like column to dash bracket nuts are loose. Get it checked out.

High there powerlift330, welcome.

I just went out and checked my wheel and it felt solid with no play. Sound like you should take it in and have that checked.

Also, I do like your choices. Black is the fastest color.

You're not being nitpicky at all.

Your steering wheel (and seat) should be rock solid.

You guys have no play in the steering at all? I've got about a quarter-inch and thought it was normal. Would I have any luck with the dealer, probably not?

I am gonna have the dealer check it out. It's a brand new car so it better get fixed if it is a problem. It's like I said very slight, but enough that i notice it when i put pressure down on it. It;s sortof annoying actually.
