I've spent a good bit of time with the tech working on the car and have found that what they put on the work request doesn't get him anywhere close to the actual problem. What ends up solving the problem is me spending some time talking the issue over the tech and explaining all the little details of what leads up to the issue occurring. Next thing you have to do is ask lots of questions as they go through the diagnosis process.
I know this requires a lot of your time but it is truly amazing what all you will learn about the car.
