IMO, any tight mesh grill will hinder air flow, causing insufficient cooling. It's best to have as much air as possible flow in to help cool the radiator. The rear mess looks great, though.
That grille looks like it would offer good radiator protection.
Interestingly, the only fine screen grilles I've seen have been aftermarket for Corvettes.
Exotics that use screens are invariably wide pattern.
They never sport perforated or fine screens.
In fact, the pattern that is used in current production Maserati, Aston Martin, and Bugatti Veyron venting is expanded metal. That's right, what we commonly refer to as "gutter guard".

If you lift your car and look underneath the nose there is a LARGE opening that feeds air to the radiator. You could probably put sheet rock over the grille and still be OK if you stayed below 1/2 throttle .

I'm one of the "gutter guard" fans. I ran a bunch of tests on engine temps in very hot conditions before and after installing mine. If there was any change it was too small to read.
These look outstanding. I particularly like the back.

When I was doing the front grill, I noticed this was pretty exposed to stones, etc. as well. So I used some extra Home Depot Gutter Guard for this area. It worked great. I made a little template with cardboard, cut the grill and used the existing bolts to put it on. The total time for install was 15 minutes and the stuff is very strong...
Yup! Thats where I found them. I was hoping maybe someone had actually tried them and had some pics. Especially the rear one. Great price too. No Corvette tax there.
From the pic, it looks just like the one's RPI Designs sells. With their 10% discount, you can get the front grille for about $100. I just received mine yesterday and will try to get it installed over the weekend. I am considering installing it behind the existing grille for a more subtle look. I will post pics after I'm done.
